Candidate Trayon White Sr. is represented by TW
Candidate Nate Derenge is represented by ND

Q1: What are your plans to make the District a more livable community for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists, alike?

TW Candidate did not respond

ND - There's not much a legislator can do. Hustle the justice department to convict car jackers more often, maybe the stabbing and shooting of people for their vehicle will decrease.

Q2: What policies do you support to protect older District residents and their ability to safely age in a place of their choosing?

TW Candidate did not respond

ND - You only get to stay in your home if you own it. DCHA has mismanaged it's 10,000+ units, and they need to go away for private individuals to buy and take ownership of those units, giving the people more power in their housing options.

Q3: What is your plan to increase access to stable, affordable, healthy food options, especially in “food deserts” located in Wards 7 and 8?

TW Candidate did not respond

ND - Ward 7 and 8 are not food deserts. there is a full service grocery store with 3 miles of everyone. I would have the justice department prosecute the thieves at the Giant so Giant can stay open.

Q4: What policies would you put forth to reduce disparities among racial and ethnic groups in accessing affordable, high-quality healthcare?

TW Candidate did not respond

ND - People in Ward 7&8 need to make better life decisions and not have a victimhood mentality when observing disparities. A positive attitude may be very helpful for longevity.
