Loaded Sweet Potato Nachos
Give traditional nachos a colorful twist! Thinly slice sweet potatoes, toss with olive oil and your favorite seasonings, and roast until tender and lightly crisp. Top with black beans, shredded cheese, diced tomatoes and jalapeños, then return to the oven until the cheese melts. Serve with salsa or Greek yogurt for dipping.
Game Day Snack Mix
This one is perfect for making ahead. Combine air-popped popcorn, whole-grain cereal, pretzels and your favorite nuts. Add a sprinkle of garlic powder, smoked paprika or your favorite salt-free seasoning blend, toss everything together and portion into individual cups or bowls. It’s crunchy, customizable and easy to pass around during the game.
Buffalo Chicken Cucumber Bites
For a lighter take on buffalo chicken, combine shredded cooked chicken with a small amount of buffalo sauce and Greek yogurt. Spoon the mixture onto thick cucumber slices and top with a sprinkle of blue cheese or green onions. You’ll get plenty of game-day flavor without needing a fork—or a pile of dishes.
Chef Donald’s Game Plan
The best game-day menu doesn’t have to keep you in the kitchen. Choose snacks you can prep before the game starts, and balance richer favorites with fresh fruits, vegetables and lighter bites. That way, everyone can build a plate for their taste buds!
However you cheer on your favorite team, a few simple snacks can make game day feel like a celebration.
