Let’s Talk, Ohio: AARP Is Listening Across the State

AARP Staff

AARP Ohio is hitting the road for the Let’s Talk, Ohio Listening Tour, a statewide effort to hear what matters to residents in Ohio’s 88 counties.

The goal is simple: meet people where they are and hear directly from Ohioans about the issues affecting their lives and communities. These conversations help ensure that AARP’s advocacy and community work reflects real experiences, not assumptions.

What We’re Listening For

At tour stops across the state, AARP staff and volunteers are inviting residents to share their perspectives on:

  • Financial security
  • Social Security
  • Family caregiving
  • Fraud and financial resilience
  • Age‑friendly communities, including housing, transportation, and local services.

What to Expect at a Tour Stop

Depending on the location, participants may:

  • Share personal stories and feedback
  • Learn about AARP resources and tools
  • Get information to be an educated voter
  • Connect with AARP staff and volunteers

Why It Matters

What Ohioans share on the Listening Tour helps inform AARP Ohio’s priorities, programs, and advocacy efforts. These insights are essential to building stronger, more age-friendly communities for people of all ages.
