Navigating the Journey: Dementia Care Workshop Coming to Fort Hall

Caring for someone living with dementia can be rewarding, challenging, and at times overwhelming. Whether you're a family caregiver, healthcare professional, community member, or simply seeking to learn more, the 2026 Adult Protection Services Dementia Care Workshop: Navigating the Journey offers valuable information, practical resources, and support for those affected by dementia.

Hosted by the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes Adult Protection Services Program, this free, day-long workshop will take place Aug. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Shoshone-Bannock Jr./Sr. High School Cafeteria in Fort Hall, Idaho.

Attendees will hear from experts and caregivers on a variety of topics related to dementia care, including:

Updates and services available through the Alzheimer’s Association
Indigenous approaches to nutrition and wellness

The workshop also includes breakfast and lunch, opportunities to connect with other caregivers and professionals, and time for questions and discussion.
