“Medicare Open Enrollment is the one time each year when kupuna can review their coverage and make sure their plan still meets their health and financial needs,” said Keali‘i Lopez, AARP Hawai‘i State Director. “It’s important to compare your options. The State Health Insurance Assistance Program or Hawai‘i SHIP provides help to consumers using trained volunteers so they you can get information on Medicare insurance without a sales pitch.”
The program for the workshops will consist of a one-hour presentation that will cover 2027 Medicare changes, eligibility, costs and benefits, followed by one-on-one support for attendees.
