For many Delawareans, Social Security is an essential part of their plan for financial security in retirement. These payments help cover basic needs like housing, groceries, utilities, and health care. In fact, a recent AARP survey found that 65% of Americans 50+ say that if Social Security was eliminated, they couldn't go six months without borrowing or selling something.
