Become a District Liaison Volunteer with AARP California
Serve as a local, nonpartisan voice for people 50-plus and help ensure older adults and their families are heard by elected officials.
AARP California is recruiting District Liaison Volunteers in select congressional districts across the state.
District Liaison Volunteers help build relationships with members of Congress and their staff, participate in regular advocacy briefings, and share information about issues important to older adults, families and caregivers.

As a District Liaison Volunteer, you may participate in virtual or in-person meetings, deliver AARP materials, attend district events, and report back on your engagement with elected officials or staff. Volunteers represent AARP in a professional, nonpartisan manner and focus on issues important to AARP members and the 50-plus population.
You do not need to be a policy expert to get involved. AARP provides orientation, access to the AARP Volunteer Portal, issue briefings, and other training as directed by staff.
