McDonald’s has dug up a nostalgic surprise for Happy Meal patrons this scary season.

First introduced in 1986, the “Halloween Pail” is back, replacing the familiar red box. The fast-food giant has resurrected three iconic characters to appear on the plastic buckets.

1.     The ghostly white McBoo

2.     The gruesome orange McPunk’n

3.     And, the ghastly green McGoblin

“We heard you loud and clear … if spooky SZN doesn’t include McDonald’s Halloween Pails, then you don't want it. That's why we’re bringing back the most iconic Halloween trio,” the company said in a statement.

The plastic buckets – handy for trick-or-treating – are available at participating McDonald’s nationwide but will disappear after Oct. 31, or when supplies are gone.

The latest promotion comes only weeks after McDonald’s partnered with the street brand Cactus Plant Flea Market to release an adult Happy Meal, containing a collectible toy: Grimace, Hamburglar, Birdie or Cactus Buddy.
