About the Experts

Martin Booker 

Martin Booker is a member of AARP’s financial resilience team, leading financial education initiatives focused on social security, budgeting and investing. Before joining AARP, Martin worked in the non-profit sector where he developed a passion for helping people improve their money habits. He has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Connecticut and earned a Certificate in Financial Planning at Georgetown University.

Rosa Angelica Maymi 

Rosa Angelica Maymi leads outreach efforts for the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program, including program promotion and volunteer recruitment. Prior to that Rosa worked as an advisor for AARP’s Financial Security Team, supporting efforts to educate age 50+ consumers on anti-fraud initiatives, asset protection, and other financial security issues. Previously, Rosa worked at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) where she oversaw the development of educational and communications resources for financial services professionals. Rosa earned master’s and bachelor’s degrees (in journalism) from the University of Maryland.

Amy Nofziger 

Amy Nofziger of the AARP Fraud Watch Network has been helping older adults avoid and deal with scams for 18 years, most recently by managing the AARP Fraud Watch Network Helpline. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Amy has appeared in The New York TimesThe Wall Street JournalConsumer Reports, on Dr. Phil, and numerous other places to help shed light on the many types of scams and fraud.
