Video 2: Age-Friendly Network Training

The 8 Domains of Livability serve as a framework for organizing the work done by members of the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities

This is the second in a series of six videos about the process of making a community more "age-friendly" by joining the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities

This video (or module) provides a deep dive into the "8 Domains of Livability," which is a framework that's often used by communities enrolled in the network to organize and prioritize the work of becoming more livable for both older residents and people of all ages.

While some communities tackle all eight domains at once, others choose to focus on fewer, different or combined domains. The availability and quality of community features in the domains — housing, transportation, outdoor spaces, health services and others — have a direct impact on the well-being of older adults.
