There are few things more frustrating than trying to remove stains, dirt or grime that have ruined the look of clothes or your ability to use household items. Some stains are impossible to get out, but mixing simple household products into cleaning solutions can eliminate others.

Here are a few cleaning hacks that work so well they may surprise you.

Copper Pots: Pots and pans with copper bottoms are considered the best to cook with, but they can be the worst to keep looking new. For this cleaning hack, all you need is salt and vinegar.  Sprinkle the copper surface with the salt, poor a little vinegar over it and rub with a hard sponge.

Scratched Plates: Scratches on porcelain dishes can ruin the finish and basically make them unusable. To bring your porcelain plates back to life use a polish specially designed for porcelain and wipe the scratches away.

Baking Trays: Burnt baking pans are another frustrating cleaning problem. All the scrubbing in the world can't save some of these pans. But try this: Mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to create a paste. Spread the paste on the baking pan and leave on for 30 minutes, then just rinse the residue away.

Carpet Stains: Many stains ruin carpet, because you are unable to get them out. For this cleaning hack, mix a solution of one part vinegar and two parts water in a spray bottle. Saturate the stain with the solution and then take a damp white cloth and place it over the stain. Now take an iron and set it to steam mode, then place the iron over the cloth for 30 seconds.

White Sneakers: When you get black scuffs or stains on white sneakers, you basically kiss them goodbye. Well, here's a cleaning hack to help you fight back. Take one teaspoon of dishwasher cleaning liquid, three tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide and two tablespoons of baking soda.
