Remember, most deals apply to veterans, active-duty members and their families. But always check the fine print for exclusions.

Here are some of the best verified deals available from nationally recognized brands:

1-800-Flowers. Military members, veterans and their family members will find offers up to 30 percent off flowers and gift baskets through WeSalute (formerly Veterans Advantage).

Adidas. Military members, veterans, spouses and dependents can enjoy 30 percent off online and in stores, and 15 percent off at factory outlet stores.

Asics. A 30 percent discount on eligible online and retail purchases is available to service members, veterans and their families who verify their status with SheerID.

Bass Pro Shops. All military members are eligible for 10 percent off select items online and in stores.

BJ’s Wholesale Club. All active or retired military personnel are eligible for a discounted $25 one-year membership and a $10 welcome bonus.

Bonobos. Current and former military personnel are eligible for a 20 percent discount, with verification through SheerID.

Champion. Military members, veterans and their families can take advantage of a 10 percent discount. Use ID.me at checkout to verify your status and receive a discount code.

Eddie Bauer. Military members and retirees receive a 10 percent discount.

Foot Locker. Active-duty members, veterans and their dependents save 10 percent on most purchases with Sheer ID verification. A maximum discount of $100 off, limited to four SheerID verifications, may be received every 30 days.

Fred Meyer. On every third Thursday of the month, current service members, veterans and their families are eligible for an extra 10 percent off apparel, toys, sporting goods, auto, garden and private-label goods, including Fred Meyer, Kroger and Simple Truth.

GameStop. All active and former military personnel get a 10 percent discount on select items in stores only with online verification.

Helly Hansen. Active-duty military and veterans receive a 25 percent discount on online purchases.

Tip: It doesn’t hurt to ask

Even if you don’t see your favorite retailers listed here, they might offer military or veterans discounts. Some may be franchises of national chains that offer price cuts locally but not as part of an across-the-board program.

Additionally, platforms like ID.me, GovX and WeSalute allow you to complete verification once and use it across multiple sites for recurring discounts.

  • What is ID.me? This authentication service says it meets federal standards for identity verification. Put in your information once, and after it’s assessed, you don’t have to reenter the information wherever this service is used.
  • What is SheerID? This verification platform says that it uses your information to confirm your eligibility with authoritative data sources, like the Department of Defense. Your information is never shared or sold to a third party without consent.
  • What is WeSalute? Formerly Veterans Advantage, WeSalute is a subscription-based program that offers exclusive discounts and benefits to active-duty military members, veterans and their families. Plans start at $9.99 a month.

Hosstile. Active-duty, veterans and dependents may receive a 15 percent off regular-priced products through VerifyPass.

JanSport. Military members, veterans and their dependents can unlock 15 percent off after verifying their eligibility. 

J. Crew Factory. Anyone who has served or is currently serving in the armed forces and their registered dependents are eligible for a 15 percent discount on their purchases.
