20-Minute Interval Training Class Works Multiple Muscle Groups
Engaging full-body workout incorporates dumbbells for strength training
This is a low-impact workout with dumbbells for those who want to improve their cardiovascular health and build muscular endurance while limiting impact. This beginner- to intermediate-level 20-minute class led by coach Marta Seremet will get your heart rate up, build stamina and work all major muscle groups.
You’ll start with a quick warm-up by performing gentle shoulder rolls and stretches before the first of seven standing exercises. Each exercise is 30 seconds, with 15-second breaks, and you’ll repeat each exercise twice. You’ll need a secure mat, a set of light dumbbells (or two water bottles) and a cushion for extra back support. Maintain regular breathing throughout, and if you feel any resistance, stretch carefully, making sure not to overextend yourself.
Please consult your physician before beginning any exercise program.
