Trader Joe’s Recalls Chicken Soup Dumplings
Frozen products may contain pieces of plastic

Trader Joe’s recalled nearly 62,000 pounds of steamed chicken soup dumplings sold nationwide because they may contain hard pieces of plastic from a permanent marker pen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced on March 2.
The problem was discovered following consumer complaints, but there have been no reported cases of injuries resulting from eating the products.

The recalled frozen dumplings were made by CJ Foods Manufacturing Beaumont Corp. on Dec. 7, 2023, in 6-ounce boxes with plastic trays containing six pieces of “Trader Joe’s Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings” with lot codes and best buy dates of “03.07.25.C1-1” and “03.07.25.C1-2” printed on the side of the box. The boxes are also labeled with establishment number “P-46009” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
Shoppers who purchased the recalled dumplings are urged not to eat them and should instead throw them away or return them to any Trader Joe’s store for a full refund.
