'Doughnut Hole' Calculator Helps Avoid Gap

Each year, millions of Medicare Part D enrollees fall into the "doughnut hole," the coverage gap in which they must pay all prescription drugs costs. This Web-based calculator, will help you see if you're nearing the gap, find less expensive, therapeutically similar drugs, and check if you qualify for Medicare's Extra Help.
