AARP Michigan Legislative Advocate volunteers develop relationships with their local office holders and State Representative to enhance AARP’s presence and influence locally and in the State Legislature. Each volunteer also serves as a member of a team in the State Senate and Congressional Districts in which he/she resides. The volunteers advocate on AARP’s legislative objectives and are expected to become a highly visible representative of AARP in their community.
