AARP Names New Production Director

Traci L. Lucien has been named Production Director for AARP Publications. She will direct the manufacturing and distribution of AARP The Magazine, AARP Bulletin, NRTA Live & Learn and Segunda Juventud. In addition, she will manage one of the industry's most complex distribution systems producing a combined 389,000,000 copies of AARP publications annually. As Production Director Lucien will also manage all relationships with outside vendors including print, paper and pre-press suppliers. Lucien will replace John Condit who was recently promoted to Publications' General Manager.

"Traci will be instrumental in helping AARP to deliver a new level of services to members and the 50+ market," said Linda McCutcheon AARP director of Publications. "She is one of the most efficient and unflappable executives I've known, and I have complete confidence she will upgrade our level of services."

Lucien began her career with AARP Publications in Lakewood, CA. in 1985. She relocated with the publications division to Washington DC in 1996 and has worked at all levels within the Production Department. Most recently, Lucien served as Production Manager where she managed the overall day-to-day production departmental operations. She will continue to represents AARP on the Alliance of Non-Profit Mailers Board of Directors. Lucien is a graduate of Chapman College in Orange, CA.

"Making things happen and doing them right are the strongest aspects of Traci's personal character and her work ethic," said Condit. "I am pleased to see her in this new position because she more than deserves it."
