New Program From Next Jump Offers Everyday Savings for AARP Members During the Holiday Season and Beyond

AARP members eligible for online discounts from Next Jump just in time
for Black Friday, Cyber Monday

WASHINGTON (Nov. 26, 2008) – AARP today announced the launch of a new online discount program that will help AARP members save money on everyday household items, as well as gifts for the holidays. Provided by Next Jump, a leading rewards and loyalty provider, The Everyday Savings Center (www.everydaysavingscenter.com) gives AARP members discounts on items from clothing and kitchen supplies to music and electronics at hundreds of online retailers, including Target, bestbuy.com, Sears.com, Kmart and AMC Theaters.

“Our members are telling us that in these tough economic times, they need help keeping costs down on items that are essential to their daily lives,” said Howard Byck, senior vice president of lifestyle products and services for AARP Services, Inc. “The Everyday Savings Center from Next Jump offers quick and easy discounts that can save our members hundreds of dollars, particularly as the holiday shopping season approaches.”

AARP members, and the 50+ population in general, have exploded onto the online shopping scene. A 2008 AARP study found that 50+ consumers have nearly the same online shopping habits as those under 50 and the trend is expected to continue as 50+ consumers increasingly rely on the Internet to help meet everyday needs.

Discounts at the Everyday Savings Center can offer as much as 60 percent off purchases. AARP members might find 10 percent off at Target.com, free shipping at bestbuy.com or up to 15 percent off Hewlett Packard products. The program also will feature special, one time offers exclusively for members.

“We are very excited about this relationship with AARP and look forward to working with them to leverage our technology and merchant network to provide tremendous value to AARP members,” said Charlie Kim, chief executive officer of Next Jump.

To start saving now, AARP members can visit www.everydaysavingscenter.com.

AARP provides its members with a number of additional discounted products and services. For more information, visit www.aarp.org/aarp_benefits.
