2BoomerBabes Set for National Launch on September 16th

Weekly lifestyle radio program focuses on key issues facing the boomer generation

Washington, D.C.–AARP announced today the national launch of 2BoomerBabes, a weekly radio program which highlights an array of lifestyle topics and key issues faced by the largest generation in history.  The program is a production of AARP Radio and is syndicated on the Radio America Network and NPR affiliate stations.

2BoomerBabes hosts Barbara Kline and Kathy Bernard capture the essence of “living in the boomer moment” with discussions about empty nesting, retirement, caring for aging parents, health and wellness, career reinvention and dating.  2BoomerBabes seeks the vast audience of nearly 78 million boomers who are traveling the same road and experiencing similar lifestyle transitions. 

As young boomers, empty nesters, friends for a lifetime, and poster children for the “sandwich generation,” Kline and Bernard provide a tongue-in-cheek glimpse into the lives of this mega generation -who they are, what they like, what makes them tick. Each week, the 2BoomerBabes chat with a broad spectrum of guests, including experts in finance, healthcare, real estate, travel, and technology, as well as everyday people who are living in the moment.  Kline and Bernard are not shy about adding their own insights and understanding to the conversation, and always top it off with a dose of good humor.  Their award-winning program originally launched on Delmarva Public Radio and caught the eye of AARP, which produces several television and radio programs aimed at the 50+
