What Restaurants Are Open on Christmas Day 2021?

You can eat well on Dec. 25 even if you don’t want to cook a holiday meal yourself

If your holiday plans don't include a home-cooked meal, you can still fill up on seasonal favorites and otherwise at many of your favorite restaurants. Here's a list of chains where you can dine in or carry out on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Benihana: Diners may eat at the Japanese steak house on Dec. 24 and 25. Hours vary by location.

Boston Market: Almost all of its 350 locations will be open, but menu options and hours vary. Full meals, pies, appetizers and side dishes may be picked up on or before Christmas Day if you place your order by Dec. 21.

Buca di Beppo: Restaurants will begin service at 11 a.m. Christmas-themed family meals may also be picked up or delivered.  

Chart House: A three-course dinner featuring traditional options is on the menu for dining. For those interested in carryout, the restaurant offers family packs that serve three to four people. Orders are available for pickup on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Del Frisco’s: Customers may dine in for a three-course prime rib dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. A catering option that serves six to 12 people is also available when ordered by Dec. 24.

Dunkin': Most locations will be open on Dec. 24 and 25, but local store hours will vary.

Fogo de Chao: Most locations will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Special rates apply for groups of 15 people or more.  

Hard Rock Café: A holiday menu is available for dine-in, pickup or delivery on Christmas Day. Hours will vary but some locations will be open as late as 11 p.m. 

IHOP: Although they are typically open 24/7, some locations may have reduced hours. A family breakfast that serves up to four people is on the menu. 

Kona Grill: From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 25 Kona Grill, offers their full menu along with some Christmas specials for dine-in, pickup or delivery.

Marie Callender’s: Some locations will be open for bakery and carryout orders, serving a limited holiday menu for preorder.

Macaroni Grill: Locations will be open from 11 am to 10 pm on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day from 11 am to 8 pm for dine-in, pickup or delivery.

McCormick & Schmick’s: Most locations will be open from noon until 9 p.m. on Christmas Day. A to-go special for four people is also offered.

Morton’s Steakhouse: Some locations will be open for dining in and offering a Christmas dinner for two to-go. Check your closest location to see if it is participating.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House: Locations will be open for dine-in, or customers can preorder their holiday meal for four for takeout.

Smith & Wollensky: Customers may dine in on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day or order dinner, sides and dessert for pickup.

Starbucks: Most locations should be open on Christmas Day, but you may want to check before driving there.

Shoney’s: Beginning at 11 a.m. on Christmas Day, the restaurant is offering an all-you-care-to-eat food bar and to-go meals that feed four, six or 10 people.

STK Steakhouse: Customers may dine in or preorder a meal for pickup on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, including prime rib specials and brunch.

Sullivan’s Steakhouse: On Dec. 24 and 25 a holiday menu will be offered for dining in or preordered for take-out or delivery.
