Staying Fit
Daisy Fuentes began her career as a model and skyrocketed to fame as MTV’s first Latino VJ. Over the years, the Cuban-born star parlayed her popularity into success as a clothing designer, fitness guru, author and role model for women. But it’s her latest passion that finds her truly making a difference for an incredibly worthwhile organization: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
After an eye-opening visit to the hospital, Fuentes organized the St. Jude Angels and Stars Gala, now an annual event that’s raised millions of dollars for the hospital's cutting-edge research and treatment programs for childhood cancer, pediatric AIDS, genetic disorders and other catastrophic childhood diseases.
