    AUG. 19: He's always had such great hair, hasn't he? First as bad boy Blackie on General Hospital, then as Jesse on Full House. Next month he starts his Yahoo Web series Losing It With John Stamos, where he'll chat with celebs about how and when they lost their virginity. (Stamos says he was 17.)

    AUG. 22: She's sold some 12 million albums, starting with 1992's Little Earthquakes. Some of her more recent work has been, well, kinda weird. A classically trained musician, Amos wrote the music and lyrics for the The Light Princess, opening in New York next month.

    AUG. 1: The blues guitarist has five Grammys, including one for 1986's Strong Persuader. Guitarist magazine named Cray's Nothin But Love Album of the Year for 2012, noting, "if you can stir something in people's hearts from the very first note you play, you're doing all right."

    AUG. 30: Basketball's 7-foot Hall of Famer, "The Chief" was a force in the 1980s, playing center with the Boston Celtics alongside Larry Bird. Now living in North Carolina, Parish recently told The Boston Globe, "I need a coaching job in the NBA. I'm restless and I need money."

Clark now writes thrillers — her latest, Killer Ambition, is about a prosecutor in the high-profile trial of a Hollywood power player.

    AUG. 16: She was Catwoman on the 1960s TV series Batman; her catsuit is enshrined at the Smithsonian; her legs were once insured for $10 million. When Anne Hathaway was cast as Catwoman for 2012's The Dark Knight Rises, Newmar declared, "She's going to be marvelous."

    AUG. 25: Skerritt has had countless supporting roles (Alien, Top Gun, Ted), although he won a 1993 Emmy starring as Sheriff Brock on the quirky CBS show Picket Fences. He lives in Seattle, teaching storytelling and screenwriting, and is still often described as "ruggedly handsome."

    AUG. 29: The British thespian Lord Attenborough has won awards aplenty, including an Oscar and Golden Globe for directing Gandhi (1982). He suffered a stroke in 2008 and recently moved to an English caregiving home for actors, where he lives with his wife, actress Sheila Sim, who is 91.
