With the help of people like you, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax assistance to those who need it most. We filed 852,377 federal returns securing $1,075,441,589 in refunds for 1,251,641 people in 2022 through the help of 25,316 volunteers.
We’re looking for friendly individuals to join us for the upcoming tax season. You’ll receive training and support, learn new skills and feel great while helping others. We need volunteers who can work virtually and/or in person.

You will help older taxpayers feel welcome and at ease by greeting them, gathering and organizing their paperwork, and describing the tax prep process. Help ease the stress of tax season for older adults with low to moderate income.

You will help older adults with low to moderate income prepare and file their tax returns online, providing them with deductions they may have missed and the refunds they deserve. Your assistance will help relieve the burden and stress of their doing their own taxes. Experience is not necessary; we will provide training and IRS certification.

You will manage computer equipment, ensure taxpayer data is secure, and provide technical assistance to volunteers.
