ABOUT
Maxim Shvedov works on tax and budget issues at the state and federal levels. He focuses on such areas as tax burden, fiscal sustainability, tax provisions for retirement and caregiving, and other issues of relevance for Americans ages 50-plus.
Before joining PPI in 2010, Shvedov analyzed federal tax policy at the Congressional Research Service, specializing in SAS (Statistical Analysis System) microeconomic simulations. He also worked as a senior economist at the Virginia Department of Taxation.
Shvedov holds a master’s degree in economics and finance from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in Miami.
