LCE Racial Equity Initiative
En español | The work we do is one aspect of Legal Counsel for the Elderly (LCE), but how we do it and how we treat one another is also especially important to the LCE culture. To that end, in 2020, LCE Executive Director Rhonda Cunningham Holmes launched the LCE Racial Equity Initiative.
Most of our clients are people of color with most identifying as Black or African American. It is important that LCE staff exercise cultural awareness and sensitivity in our interactions with one another and with those we serve.
Legal Counsel for the Elderly stands against racism, injustice, violence, and the dehumanization of all people. We support the constitutional right to protest against brutality and murder. We condemn the use of military tactics in our clients' home community. We fight for the dignity and security of our clients, and we affirm that BLACK LIVES MATTER.
In this short video, LCE's Executive Director Rhonda Cunningham Holmes describes LCE's Racial Equity Initiative.
