About Us
Get trained to help students become better readers by the end of third grade — and renew your sense of purpose as you help set the foundation for lifelong success.
AARP Foundation Experience Corps trains people over 50 as tutors to help students become better readers by the end of third grade. The community-based program helps older adults regain social connections and a sense of purpose, while providing children with the foundation for lifelong success and greater earning potential.
Help young children get back on track and become better readers right in your community. In-person and virtual opportunities available.
AARP Foundation Experience Corps is an AmeriCorps National, Volunteer Generation Fund and VISTA grantee and receives funds through their AmeriCorps National and Volunteer Generation Fund programs. Additional support is provided by the Department of Justice Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Program.
