Kathy Taylor is an accomplished recording artist, minister of music, songwriter and community activist. Taylor’s recording career began as a soloist with James Cleveland's Gospel Music of America and The Mass Choir. Later, she established the singing ensemble Kathy Taylor and Favor and released three albums featuring their meticulous harmonies.
As minister of music at the large Windsor Village United Methodist Church in Houston, Taylor oversees a music and arts department with 1,200 staff members and volunteers. Innovative programs include a 36-piece orchestra playing the sacred music of Duke Ellington. Taylor also founded Katco Arts Academy, a summer youth program that empowers socially and economically challenged youth.
