Melissa Etheridge is a female rock icon known for her soaring melodies and expressive voice. Her first Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal was for “Ain’t It Heavy” from Never Enough. Etheridge hit her commercial and artistic stride with her fourth album, Yes I Am, featuring “Come to My Window,” a song of longing that won her a second Grammy.

Etheridge won the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2007 for “I Need to Wake Up” from the documentary, An Inconvenient Truth. In 2011, she made her Broadway debut in Green Day’s rock opera, American Idiot, and prepared for a worldwide tour in 2012.
