
Mary Luehrsen is director of public affairs and government relations for NAMM, the International Music Products Association. She oversees the organization’s policy and advocacy efforts involving access to music education and global music commerce. She also serves as executive director of the NAMM Foundation which supports music research, philanthropic and public service programs.
Luehrsen was a professional flutist for 20 years, specializing in chamber and contemporary classical music. She taught music for 16 years, managed a professional symphony orchestra and, as an independent consultant, worked with corporate and nonprofit clients in the areas of strategic planning and resource development.
