
Elizabeth Somer is a registered dietician who focuses on how the foods people eat can help prevent disease as well as premature aging. She is a consultant to the Beautiful Minds: Finding Your Lifelong Potential campaign.
Somer has authored 11 books, including Age-Proof Your Body: Your Complete Guide to Looking and Feeling Younger and Eat Your Way to Happiness. She has served as editor of two newsletters that abstract current nutrition research from more than 6,000 professional journals: The Nutrition Report and Nutrition Alert. She is also an advisory board member for Shape and has written more than 300 articles in national magazines, including Shape, Prevention, Cosmopolitan and Fitness.
