Cindy Hellyar

Cindy Hellyar is a gerontologist with The Hartford Advance 50 Team. She has been instrumental in developing national public education programs that promote safety, mobility and independence for older adults. She also shares mature market insights that influence how The Hartford’s insurance products and services are designed and delivered.

Hellyar recently directed a multi-year research project with MIT AgeLab. It examined older adults’ experiences with natural disasters and the disaster planning needs of caregivers of persons with memory disorders. She holds a master’s degree in human development and gerontology.
