
Jon Secada is a gifted Cuban-American singer, songwriter and performer who has won two Grammy Awards and sold 20 million albums since his debut album was released in 1992. Born in Havana, Secada arrived in the United States at age nine. After developing songwriting skills while at the University of Miami, he joined Gloria Estefan as a background singer and later co-wrote her 1991 hit, “Coming Out of the Dark.”
Secada’s self-titled debut album included the hits “Angel” and “Do You Believe in Us?” The Spanish-language versions of his first and third albums were honored with Grammy Awards.
Secada has produced hits for Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez and others, performed with opera legend Luciano Pavarotti and starred on Broadway in Grease and Cabaret.
