Jane Pauley, one of the most respected journalists in broadcasting, has been a familiar face on morning, daytime, and prime-time TV for more than 30 years. After co-hosting NBC’s TODAY Show from 1976 to 1989, she anchored Dateline NBC for more than a decade. In 2004, she hosted her own daytime program and published her best-selling memoir, Skywriting: A Life Out of the Blue. As AARP's "Your Life Calling" Ambassador, Pauley hosts a new AARP-produced series on personal reinvention for TODAY. An advocate for mental health, children's health, and education issues, Pauley has three grown children with her husband, the cartoonist who created Doonesbury, Garry Trudeau.
