GRANTEE: Athens Downtown Development Agency

AARP Community Challenge funds were used to install an interpretive exhibit at the Ware-Lyndon Historic House Museum with a focus on the property’s enslaved workers and their descendants. The grant also supported improvements to the Athens African American Heritage Pathway, which connects the Ware-Lyndon House with other historic locations in Athens.
