Missouri Grandparenting Issues: A Survey of AARP Members  / Research Report
February 2007— Proposed laws to allow grandparents caring for grandchildren and kin’s children to enroll them in school are supported by 74 percent of Missouri AARP members responding to this October 2006 mail survey. And 79 percent support grandparent caregivers having access to medical records and the right to make medical decisions for the children. (22 pages)

AARP Grandparenting Survey  / Research Report
November 1999— This national survey of 823 grandparents age 50 and older found that most regularly interact with their grandchildren in a variety of ways. Many say they are friends and companions for them and, when asked to rate their relationship with a specific grandchild, describe it as very positive. (73 pages)
