Jennifer Ashton, M.D., is a board-certified Ob-Gyn. She is a graduate of Columbia College and received her medical degree from Columbia University. She is currently enrolled in the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons Institute of Human Nutrition master’s degree program in clinical nutrition. Upon completion of her degree, likely in 2015, Ashton will be one of the only medical doctors with a degree in nutrition who has a national media platform.
Ashton is currently a co-host of the nationally syndicated CBS daytime medical TV show, The Doctors. She is also a senior medical contributor for ABC Good Morning America and World News with Diane Sawyer. She is the author of two books, The Body Scoop for Girls and Your Body Beautiful. Ashton is on the medical advisory board to Fitness magazine and the author of a monthly feature column, “Ask Dr. Ashton,” in Cosmopolitan magazine. She runs a private medical practice, Hygeia Gynecology in Englewood, New Jersey, and resides there with her husband and two children. She is a triathlete, an ice hockey fan and a mom.
