Life's Rhythms Reimagined
The steady beat of a drum. The steady beat of your heart. The way we move when the rhythm begins. The way vibrations echo through our lives, through life itself.
You would expect Adam Gazzaley to be an expert on the brain and memory. He's an M.D. and a Ph.D., an Associate Professor of Neurology, Physiology and Psychiatry at the University of California at San Francisco and the Director of the Gazzaley Lab at UCSF. He's enthralled Life@50+ audiences for the past three years, and we're thrilled to have him back with us in New Orleans!
But, wait – there's more! Joining Adam on stage will be legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy Award-winning percussionist from the Grateful Dead, Mickey Hart. A great explorer of the impact and resonance of rhythm, drumming and mental acuity partnered with a brilliant researcher and advocate – Mickey and Adam will lead a session that will be historic, ground-breaking and just plain fun!
Greatful Dead drummer Mickey Hart talks about the therapeutic power
of music.
