Frequently asked questions about the AARP Publications app

Yes, the AARP Publications app is a benefit exclusively for registered AARP members.

Nonmembers can register and sign up for membership directly in the app by tapping the “Register Now” link and completing the steps to register and join. 

Members can log in to the app by using the same email and password they use for their AARP.org login. 

Unregistered members can log in from within the app by tapping the “Register Now” button on the app’s welcome screen and creating login information.

If you turn on notifications, the app will send customized messages to your device about your favorite content and must-read stories. But if you prefer not to receive push messages, you can turn off app notifications at any time from your device settings. Please note that your wireless service provider’s connectivity or usage rates may apply if you choose to receive notifications.

Yes, the AARP Publications app is compatible with iPhone and iPad devices with iOS 13.0 and above.

Yes, the AARP Publications app is compatible with most devices running Android 5.0 and above.

There is no charge to download or use the app. However, your wireless service provider's connectivity or usage rates may apply. If you are a nonmember registering to join AARP through the app, an annual membership fee will apply.

AARP is committed to maintaining your privacy. Though we may share aggregate statistics and other non-personally identifiable information with third parties, we will not allow anyone to identify you by your name or other personally identifiable information. Yes, you can sign into the app with the same email and password that you use for your online account. If you're not an AARP member, you can always join online, or through the app. If you have any questions about the app, or if you’re having trouble signing in, contact us.

The AARP Publications app does not store your payment information. However, AARP.org may keep your information on file to make future purchases more convenient for you.
