FROM KENTUCKY

I am a full time caregiver for my mother Judith. Five years ago she was diagnosed with vascular dementia, this is a very cruel disease it not only affects your loved one it completely changes everyone's life. She cannot be left unattended at anytime whatsoever. I am lucky to get two hours sleep at any given time I stay exhausted. I never know what is going to happen she has a tendency to get mean and agitated for no reason. Takes all my patience and love and attention every minute of every day. I also have a ten year old son that is autistic so I am very busy every day. I just wish I could get her a Dr that knows about her disease because I believe she should get more assistance like home health care. Would love any help with this that anyone can give.
