FROM ILLINOIS
When my mother moved to assisted living I took over the role of meeting her needs. I was focused on improving her quality of life. I did the following things to accomplish this along with transportation for shopping and appointments. First we got a better walker so she could get around the facility. Second, we got hearing aids. Third, we got cataract surgery so she could sew and read again. Fourth we had a series of dentist appointments to decrease pain. Fifth, since she lost weight we bought new clothes online. Lastly, I got several support pillows in variulous sizes to improve comfort. Over a one year period she had no hospitalizations which wasn't the case before.
