    AARP's Driver Safety Course, the nation's only driver program for adults 50 and older, has helped millions of drivers protect their safety on today's roads.
  • CarFit
    This educational program, sponsored by AARP, the American Occupational Therapy Association and AAA, enables older adults to check on how well their personal vehicles "fit" them. CarFit also provides community-specific resources that could enhance their safety as drivers and increase their mobility in the community.
  • AARP "Getting Around Guide"
    The "Getting Around Guide: An AARP Guide to Walking, Bicycling and Public Transportation" (publication ID: D19294) helps consumers take advantage of options for getting around without a car.
  • MIT AgeLab
    Created to invent new ideas and creatively translate technologies into practical solutions that improve people’s health and enable them to do things throughout their lifespan.
  • Eldercare Locator
    A nationwide service that connects older Americans and their caregivers with information on senior services.
  • Insurance Institute for Highway Safety
    Research focuses on three main areas: human factors, or preventing crashes by changing driver behavior; vehicle factors, or reducing deaths and injuries by improving vehicle design; and environmental factors, or changing roadway design, signs, and signals to reduce crashes.
