About Us

Since 2010, UnitedHealthcare has contributed more than $43 million to AARP Foundation, supporting efforts to raise awareness of senior poverty and develop programs that address critical unmet needs of older adults with low income.
Storytelling
With UnitedHealthcare’s support, AARP Foundation has developed custom content to help raise awareness of senior poverty and how to help solve it. For example, in 2024, UnitedHealthcare’s funding enabled the development of the AARP Foundation "Community Heroes” story series. The series spotlights 3 local leaders who are working tirelessly for and with seniors in their community.
Program Development
In 2024, UnitedHealthcare made an additional $1 million contribution to support the launch of the AARP Foundation Paid4Care™ hub, a first-of-its-kind online hub that helps demystify paid family caregiving by answering the question family caregivers ask most often: “Can I get paid to take care of my loved one?” .
Matching Campaigns
Matching gifts inspire donors to contribute to AARP Foundation programs at a greater scale. For nearly ten years, UnitedHealthcare matching gift campaigns have been a catalyst in raising millions of dollars for impact in communities we serve. This ongoing collaboration strengthens our capacity to provide vital resources for older adults across the country.
At AARP Foundation, we’re working toward a country free of poverty where no older person feels vulnerable. Together with committed supporters like UnitedHealthcare, we can make our vision a reality.
