Today, more than 10 million people over 50 are living in poverty in the U.S. That's the entire population of North Carolina. All told, more than 37 million are either already in poverty or just one life event away from slipping into it.

AARP Foundation, the charitable affiliate of AARP, provides resources so millions of older adults living with low income can secure good jobs, get the benefits they've earned, and stay connected to their communities. We're empowering older adults by providing tools and training to help them increase their financial stability and overcome the challenges of today and tomorrow.
