AARP Foundation President Claire Casey Named to The NonProfit Times' 2026 Power & Influence Top 50
AARP Foundation President Claire Casey has been recognized by The NonProfit Times as one of the nonprofit sector's most influential leaders, earning a spot on the publication's 2026 Power & Influence Top 50 list.
Each year, The NonProfit Times highlights 50 executives for innovation, sector-wide influence, and organizational models that other nonprofits can replicate. This year's honorees will be featured in the July/August 2026 issue of The NonProfit Times.
Under Casey's leadership, AARP Foundation has advanced its mission to strengthen financial resilience for and with older adults by empowering individuals and improving systems — work that has never been more important as rising costs, complex benefit systems, and a shifting job market bring new challenges to older adults living with low income. The work of AARP Foundation impacts the lives of millions of older adults with low income. In 2025 alone, AARP Foundation helped older adults with low income secure over $1 billion in income, benefits, and tax refunds and credits — powered by over 30,000 dedicated volunteers nationwide.
“We need to move at the pace of the problem,” said Claire Casey, president of AARP Foundation. “That’s why we are rethinking how we create impact so millions more older adults have the opportunity to age with dignity and financial security. That transformation is only possible because of the extraordinary commitment of our staff, volunteers, partners and donors.”
Casey will be celebrated alongside this year's other honorees at the NPT Power & Influence Top 50 Gala on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
