Older adult Tax-Aide and Experience Corps volunteers helping others

Every April, organizations and individuals celebrate volunteers who dedicate their time and talent to making a difference in other people’s lives. AARP Foundation proudly celebrates National Volunteer Month to recognize the service of volunteers who make our Tax-Aide and Experience Corps programs a resounding success and who advance our vision of ending senior poverty.

Experience Corps Volunteers

Bill Wolff is changing the lives of young readers one page at a time.
Bill Wolff, Experience Corps volunteer

Bill Wolff has one mighty impressive stat when it comes to volunteering: He's devoted more than 10,000 hours as a tutor to help children in the Boston area become better readers. Early on, he learned the valuable lesson that building a relationship with those he tutors is vital. Bill's devotion was rewarded in 2024 when he received the President's Lifetime Achievement Award for Volunteer Service. Read the rest of Bill's story.
