Best Buy recalled six models of air fryers sold under the Insignia brand after receiving 24 reports of the products overheating, melting, catching on fire or the glass shattering, posing fire, burn and laceration hazards, according to a safety alert from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The recall involves approximately 187,400 units sold nationwide, plus another 99,900 units sold in Canada, through Best Buy’s retail stores and website, as well as through eBay and other third-party sellers. The affected products were sold between November 2021 and November 2023, with prices ranging from $32 to $180.
