En español | You can receive reduced survivor benefits as early as age 60 or wait and receive full survivor benefits at your full retirement age. If you are disabled, you may be eligible for survivor benefits as early as age 50. You can receive survivor benefits at any age if you are not remarried and are taking care of a deceased worker’s child under age 16 or a child who is disabled and receives benefits on the worker's record. If the person who died was receiving reduced benefits, your survivor's benefit will be based on that amount.
