En español | In most cases, a surviving spouse can collect a benefit on their deceased partner's record.
This benefit is worth up to 100% of the benefit the deceased was collecting, or could collect at full retirement age. Survivor benefits can be claimed as early as age 60 (50 if disabled) but are reduced if claimed before full retirement age.
