Report Frauds, Help Others Avoid Losing Time and Money

Unfortunately, every single day, an older Minnesotan falls victim to a financial fraud or scheme. In tough economic times, this vulnerability to scams only increases.

“Too many fraudsters get away with criminal activity because few are actually reported to law enforcement,” said Special Agent Bill White of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.

As part of our AARP Fraud Fighters initiative, AARP is urging members to spot, stop and report fraud.

“Encourage your friends and neighbors to REPORT frauds when they happen,” said White. “Anyone can fall victim – but law enforcement needs tips to investigate and prosecute these crimes.”
