What's Age Got to Do With it?

By Martina Navratilova - 11/23/2009

Your fitness doesn't have to decline as you get older. It can actually get better with each passing year if you put in the necessary effort, says AARP's Health and Fitness Ambassador Martina Navratilova.

"You don't feel old merely by living a number of years," she says. "You feel old when you abandon the desire to be better than you are."

What does it take to be better? Martina shares what she's been doing:

  • Eating smarter than ever, including raw foods and fresh juices.
  • Learning new work-outs, including cardio, strength, agility and flexibility exercises.
  • Looking beyond her body, enlisting mind, body and spirit to boost her health.
